Dr. Blau is senior consultant in Biochemical Genetics at the Division of Metabolism, University Children's Hospital in Zürich, Switzerland and Professor Emeritus in Clinical Biochemistry at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He is founder of the BIOPKU Switzerland and Deputy Editor-in-Chief at the Molecular Genetics and Metabolism.
Dr. van Karnebeek is professor of metabolic diseases, affiliated with Radboud and Amsterdam University Medical Centres in The Netherlands. As a certified pediatrician-biochemical geneticist and principal investigator, she collaborates with multidisciplinary teams including patients and families, to enhance early diagnosis and tailored treatment and care.
Dr. Wasserman is a senior scientist in the Centre for Molecular Medicine and Therapeutics at the BC Children's Hospital Research Institute and a professor of medical genetics at the University of British Columbia. He leads a bioinformatics research laboratory focused on the applied analysis of the human genome and the creation of algorithms, databases and software for the life science research community.
Dr. Ferreira is a Clinical Tenure-Track Investigator at the National Institutes of Health in the US, where he leads the Unit on Skeletal Genomics, which focuses on using a translational research approach to understand the etiology, mechanisms, diagnosis, and management of a select group of genetic skeletal disorders. He serves as editor for three biomedical journals, and as co-chair of the Skeletal Disorders Clinical Domain Working Group
Dr. Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Genetics at Emory University School of Medicine. As a clinical and biochemical geneticist, Dr. Li specializes in diagnosing and treating inherited metabolic disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions. She serves as the Medical Director of the Emory Metabolic Clinic. Dr. Li is deeply committed to training the next generation of genetics professionals. She serves as the Program Director for the Medical Biochemical Genetics Fellowship and Co-Chair of the Education Committee for the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD). Dr. Li also leads multiple Phase I, II, and III clinical trials aimed at developing innovative treatments to improve care for individuals with genetic and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Mori is an Associate Professor of Human Genetics at Emory University School of Medicine. Board-certified in medical genetics, medical biochemical genetics and clinical informatics, she sees patients with inborn errors of metabolism and collaborates with clinicians, researchers and patients. She chairs the Society for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (SIMD) Education Committee to organize various educational programs to educate the next generation of biochemical geneticists.
